Garden Sorrel

One plant in a 4.5” pot. Cold-hardy perennial.

Alongside daffodils and other bulbs, Garden Sorrel gives us some of the earliest green of spring. After the shorter, darker days of winter, it’s a special treat to enjoy sorrel’s tangy, green, nutritious leaves - which are already abundant, even though the rest of the yard is just starting to wake up.

We tend to just eat it fresh, grabbing a couple leaves every time we pass it in the yard (for this reason, we suggest putting it close to a door or pathway). But it’s also a wonderful way to brighten up many dishes - for those who may be more culinary-inclined.
