Another plant that’s a practical combination of animal and drought-resistant. “Pollinator friendly” is an understatement - the flowers, which bloom along wooly, upright spikes, are not incredibly showy to the human eye, but are an absolute favorite amongst our buzzing friends.

Coupled with a bloom window that lasts seemingly all summer, Lamb’s Ear is one of our favorite pollinator plants. It’s best enjoyed when you plant it alongside one of your most-used garden pathways, so you can hear the gentle hum of your garden’s pollinators every time you pass by.
